Xamarin Forms is growing because it saves a lot of time to coders. But sometimes the simplest things become a real trouble.

Today I will share one of those small errors “The missing burger icon in Windows 10”. I was developing an App for our first IoT project and I needed that the app (a simple dashboard) working in iOS, Android, and the Windows 10 Pc, instead of developing a different app for each platform I decide to use Xamarin “saving time” that was partially true, because I invested a lot of hours trying to solve the simplest problem ever: The hamburger icon wasn`t in the windows deployment and the full app was unusable. The solution was very simple at the end, and here it is:

Just add the following code to you MainPage.cs constructor (or however you named the file with the Master menu)

      if (Device.RuntimePlatform == Device.Windows)

            {

                MasterBehavior = MasterBehavior.Popover;

            }

I hope this save some time for other Xamarin developers.
